Staying Current & Connected with NM Interiors
In the professional arena, your profile image represents who you are in your business. It's recommended you keep your headshot current every one to two years.
So here I am before the close of 2022 with an updated photo saying hello to coincide with some recent portfolio work that you can now find highlighted on my website. Still undecided as to whether I prefer the snap fully smiling or not, I'll use both versions on different socials and maybe you tell me what is your fave.
Mostly I'm glad this got done, as I find self-portraits one of my least favourite things to do. I did put some thought into how I wanted to show up though, as it does matter to me how first impressions reflect upon us. For some context:
My dad always used to say you need to be 'good & lucky' 🍀 this could be my biggest influence in why I love to layer attributes of greens into what I wear & my lifestyle.
Green is connected to the wood element; as a Capricorn earth sign anything green and me just seems to 'click'.
Green jade symbolizes well-being and longevity. A protective stone, jade keeps the wearer from harm and brings harmony. Jade attracts good luck and friendship. It stabilizes the personality and promotes self-sufficiency. It is also associated with abundance, wealth, and prosperity.
Green Onyx is a deeply soothing stone that helps to comfort and heal the heart after any sort of loss. It is also known to help relieve worry, tension, stress, and fear.
These few attributes reflect why I appreciate wearing these gems & tones. I enjoy decorating with greens too; there can be a great deal of visual communication and emotional feeling through colour.
The many meaningful qualities behind different hues is one of the things that inspires me to bring out the best in every unique palette combination and how I layer decor when working on a project. I take on the same approach with clients to balance resonating preferences and moods to create environments that everyone can feel their best in. There is such an empowering dynamic you can bring into a space by doing so.
I look forward to what's in store for the year ahead & continuing to create homes people love and appreciate. It's always rewarding for me to grow personally as I share more of myself and my projects with everyone who follows along. Thank you for being here with me.
While I'm with you as you read this, I'd like to take this opportunity in wishing all the very best to you this holiday season: May it be evergreen, holly jolly and bring you great joy!
